The Ascent is a new product of the Indie Studio Neo Giant. While I am a little bit skeptical with pre-order these days (Looking at you Cyperpunk!) New IP like this gives me some hope that a good studio with talented developers is still out there.
The Ascent's first impression may seem a little outdated. Who plays an Isometric stick shooter these days?! Don't let this turn you down from one of the best games that understands what Sci-fi is. Despite the limit in the camera angle, The Ascent art style manages to provide a super detailed world for the player to get lost in.
